From the label“Sojourn Vanilla is an American Stout that pours jet black with hints of amber when held to the light. A complex malt bill carries notes of dark roast coffee and chocolate caramels. Magnum and Centennial hops tame the sweetness and blend with the toasty qualities, providing notes of dried citrus peel and earthy pine. Layered throughout these dark and bright flavors are notes of mellow vanilla, imported from conditioning on mounds of fresh vanilla beans before packaging. This beer brings us back to the early days of our infatuation with the craft. There are places that take a piece of our hearts for safekeeping. When we stumble upon new ground, there's a familiarity, as if an overgrown trail was just a forgotten footpath. Across New England's woodlands, you encounter stone walls reclaimed by the land but forever marking the remnants of past lives. These simple monuments, free of hubris or pretension, stitch together the landscape like quiltwork—places to sit and contemplate where we are going and what we may leave behind.”
