From the label“This is Cultura, the blending of old-world spontaneous brewing methods and Appalachian terroir. The apotheosis of our sour brewery, Cultura stands testament to local agriculture, Belgian style sour blending traditions, and the bounty of Appalachia. Pure local water, locally-malted Riverbend pilsner malt and raw wheat, and copious amounts of aged whole-cone hops come together under the care of our brewers, who then relinquish control to nature in our coolship, where winter winds chill the steaming wort and local flora spontaneously inoculate it.”
