From the label“WRITING DEGREE ZERO is an ongoing experiment aiming at zeroes. Zero additions of yeast, zero additions of sugar even in substances as natural as honey,— instead blending barrels containing zero residual sugar with barrels with comparatively high residual sugar in an attempt to ferment toward absolute dryness. This first blend comprises six-month-old, fifteen-month-old, and twenty-five-month-old spontaneously fermented golden ale at an average of fourteen months by volume at bottling, cellared at the blendery for eighteen months before release. "For this possibility to be transcendentally effective, it must be possible for a zero degree of appearance to be exposed. In other words, the consistency of appearance requires there to be a transcendental marking, or a logical mark, of non-appearance." -ALAIN BADIOU”
