The artwork

A vertical band of weathered, heavily textured abstraction in rust, ochre, green, and cream dominates the centre of the label, rendered in a loose, layered mixed-media style with visible drips and overlaid marks. The beer name "NORTH TO THE SEA" runs vertically in large, outlined sans-serif capitals down the left half of this textured field, while the brewery mark—a geometric knot within a circle—sits anchored to the right edge. The overall effect is of aged, oxidised metal or weathered stone with organic staining and erosion patterns.

From the label

Altbier is often grouped with Kolsch – both are German styles that sit somewhere between ales and lagers in approach. However, alt is darker, maltier, and hoppier! We based this altbier off our friend Alex Howe's homebrew recipe – featuring German malts and hops. Then we infused it with home-roasted coffee! Cheers, Mike, Scott, and Alex
