This is the 6th of 6 label filings we hold from Hermit Thrush Brewery. It is one of 38 wild / brett / lambic-style labels approved in December 2019. It cleared 28 days after it was filed. The label carries barrel-aged on the front. The label carries the Brewers Association independent seal.
From the label“An homage to Oud Flanders, this sour red ale is sequentially aged in red wine barrels and whiskey barrels for one year, then blended, then aged one year further in a red wine oak foudre. Brewed 2017, fermented with wild Brattleboro mixed culture. We harness local wild cultures, barrels, and time to create balanced oak aged sour ales.”
