From the label“Everyone knows about 'Old Barney': the iconic Barnegat Lighthouse, but right now, tucked away and forgotten in a marina in South Jersey is the lightship LV-79 which was stationed off of Barnegat from 1927-1942 protecting those navigating the coast of New Jersey. This ale is a tribute to the crew of that lightship. Day in, day out, through storms, wind, and rain throughout the year the crew stood by and maintained the light and the bell, anchored in place. This is a simple session ale, brewed and fermented like a brut IPA, but with a very light hop aroma. It's brewed with champagne yeast and pilsner and American 2-row malts.”
