This is the 2nd of 2 labels we have from Brouwerij Maenhout BVBA. It is one of 12 quad / belgian strong labels approved in September 2019. Its label was approved 23 days after it was submitted. It's imported by Belgian Beer Distributors, Finost Import LLC; its label was approved for US sale.
From the label“Flemish Jesuit missionary Ferdinand Verbiest is one of the numerous personalities who have marked the History of China. In the 17th century he was recognized worldwide for his astronomical knowledge. In 1658 Ferdinand Verbiest, born in Pittem, a small village in the province of West Flanders, was sent to China to evangelize the province of Shanxi. As a renowned mathematician and astronomer and thanks to his genius, he obtained the favors of Emperor Kangxi and became his personal tutor and counsellor. He also initiated the Emperor to Catholicism.”
