“For a tiny window of time each spring, folks all over the Northwoods tromp through deep snow, collecting gallon after gallon of maple sap just to watch it boil. A true labor of love, sugar bushing takes a ton of sap—and even more time and patience. We tapped some friends for their syrup stash to add a touch of sweetness to a Michigan-centric brown ale because pancakes don't deserve all the glory.”
