In the register

This is the 2nd of 2 label filings we hold from La Trappe. It is one of 10 quad / belgian strong labels approved in July 2026. It cleared 1 day after it was filed. The label names one hop, Hops. It was brewed under contract — BBL, Inc. holds the permit, which is ordinary in the register and easy to miss on a shelf. It is an imported label, filed for US distribution.

From the label

This Special Edition is brewed to celebrate 35 years of Quadrupel - which in 1991 was the world's very first Quadrupel. Wheat and oatmeal give the ale a rounder, softer mouthfeel, while the dark colour malts add deeper colour and warmer caramel notes. The result is a full-bodied, warm Quadrupel with 10.5% alcohol content, making it a richer, more distinct interpretation of the classic. A worthy tribute to 35 years of Quadrupel.
