A dense, ornamental woodcut-style illustration of a gnarled tree dominates the center of the label, its twisted trunk and branches rendered in dark brown against a gold background, framed by art-nouveau scrollwork and corner flourishes. The composition is symmetrical and heavily decorated, with leaf motifs and curved borders filling the upper and lower edges. The beer name is split across the image in a large serif typeface, with 'SIERRA NEVADA' arching above and 'Barrel-Aged BARLEYWINE ALE' positioned below the central motif. Regulatory text and descriptors run vertically along both sides on the gold field.
