This is the 5th of 14 filings we hold from Bissell Brothers. It is one of 64 barrel-aged stout labels approved in June 2026. It cleared 1 day after it was filed. The label carries barrel-aged on the front.
A pen-and-ink engraving dominates the upper two-thirds of the label, depicting a figure exploring a cavern lit by a glowing orb, surrounded by dramatic cross-hatched rock formations and dripping stalactites. The composition is rendered in linear white strokes on a dark ground, creating deep shadow and geological texture throughout the scene. Below the illustration, the beer name appears in copper serif capitals against the navy background. The entire label is framed by a turquoise horizontal band that contains the central image, creating a vignette effect.
From the label“Label explicitly states 'Mint Chocolate AGE OF NO LIGHT' with 'RYE BARREL-AGED STOUT' as the fanciful name. Back label confirms 'Rye Barrel-aged Stout aged for 12 months in bourbon barrels, peppermint and dark chocolate.' ABV 11.8% printed on label. 750 ml bottle format. Brewed and packaged by Bissell Brothers, Portland, Maine USA.”
