This is the 2nd of 12 label filings we hold from Fremont Brewing Co. It is one of 152 barrel-aged stout labels approved in October 2019. It cleared 17 days after it was filed. The label carries barrel-aged on the front. The label carries the Brewers Association independent seal.
From the label“This beer is a dark, rich, and complex blend of 1, 2, and 3 year old (Cognac) barrels. Chocolate, vanilla, and maple syrup are added and aged together in the barrels with the beer. Brewed with a blend of malts including chocolate malt, roasted barrels, and a complex blend of spices to bring out the subtle notes of the barrel and chocolate. The result is a smooth, rich, and complex beer that balances the sweetness of the vanilla and maple syrup with the roasted character of the chocolate malt and the oak character of the barrel.”
