From the label

Anderson Valley's Prickly Pear sour is truly a unique beer. A Belgian style wheat beer, barrel fermented with a mixed culture indigenous to our property. This house mix culture has several types of yeast and bacteria each of which brings its own individual character to the beer. The color is light pink derived from the prickly pear fruit. The flavor starts as wild, bretty, outdoorsy, and slightly sour. Adding the prickly pear imparts a decided fruit character with notes of plum and candied sugar. Ultimately it is just delicious.
