This is the 2nd of 2 labels we have from Barrelworks. It is one of 7 wild / brett / lambic-style labels approved in March 2019. Its label was approved 60 days after it was submitted. The label carries barrel-aged on the front. The brand on the label is Barrelworks; it was brewed at Taproom, Firestone Walker, INC in California.
From the label“Six years ago, Barrelworks was started with three prototypes and 48 oak barrels filled with dreams. As each year progressed, it became evident that there were special barrels that stood apart from the rest, exhibiting refined Belgian Lambic-style characteristics. It is these unique barrels that are blended together to create Feral One. This year's blend is suggestive of spicy oak aromatics and red grape pomace notes in the nose. Bright citrusy zest and underlying toasted marshmallow flavors lurk in the background. A mouth-watering acidity and soft tannins are punctuated by a firm carbonation. Savor now, or age longer for a special occasion. Santé!”
