We'll tell you when it lands.From the label“Millstadt's Tin Man Water Tower, one of only seven such towers remaining in the state of Illinois, has been keeping watch over Millstadt since 1931. From 1925-1931, Millstadt was embroiled in a battle over the construction of a municipal sewer system. After two cases were heard by the Illinois Supreme Court, construction began in the summer of 1931, with the Water Tower being completed on December 10th. While no longer being part of the water supply system, the restored Tin Man is Millstadt's most visible landmark. Cheers to Millstadt!”
