This is the 3rd of 5 filings we hold from Post Secondary Brewing. It is one of 18 gose labels approved in June 2026. It cleared 9 days after it was filed. The label names one hop, Tettnang. The label carries the Brewers Association independent seal.
A hand-coloured engraving of Commodore Richard Dale occupies the central field, rendered in period naval dress with a tall ship and shipyard in the background. Above his shoulders sits the Post Secondary Brewing hop-cone emblem in blue and green, while a Founding Fathers Series badge appears in the upper right. The label's ground is aged parchment, its typography set in a mix of serif and sans-serif faces, with descriptive copy flanking the portrait on either side. No special finish is evident.
From the label“This coastal gose honors Portsmouth-born Commodore Richard Dale, John Paul Jones' right hand and first commandant of Gosport Shipyard. Built on wheat and pilsner malt, lightly hopped with Tettnang, and finished with sea salt and coriander, it drinks bright, tart, and clean—like a breeze off the Elizabeth River. Crisp salinity and citrusy spice make it a refreshing tribute to Portsmouth's naval roots.”
