This is the 3rd of 18 filings we hold from Spoetzl Brewery. It is one of 19 kölsch labels approved in June 2026. It cleared 2 days after it was filed. The label carries the Brewers Association independent seal.
A scattered pattern of dandelion flowers and seed heads in yellow and brown ink fills the cream-coloured label, with two full blooms anchoring the left and right edges and smaller botanical line drawings scattered across the field. The beer name 'Shiner Dandelion' dominates the centre in large decorative serif capitals with gold outlines and brown fill, positioned above 'HONEY KOLSCH' in smaller sans-serif type. The entire design is framed by a scalloped brown and gold border, and the Spoetzl Brewery mark with Texas motif sits at the top. A hand-lettered script attribution to Ella Langley appears below the main illustration on the back, accompanied by a short lyrical quote.
From the label“Front label explicitly states 'HONEY KOLSCH' and descriptive copy reads 'KOLSCH-STYLE BEER WITH DANDELION, HONEY & NATURAL FLAVORS'. ABV 4.5% and 12 FL OZ volume printed on front. Back label confirms 'EVERY DROP OF SHINER IS BREWED IN SHINER, TX' and shows Brewers Association Certified Independent Craft seal (inverted bottle). The beer is a Kölsch-style ale with honey and dandelion as adjuncts, not a non-beer product despite the TTB specialty classification.”
