This filing went on record 3 December 2019, before the beer reached a shelf. Every week's new filings, read and delivered Tuesday morning.
This is the 16th of 23 label filings we hold from Boulevard Brewing Co. It is one of 25 fruit beer labels approved in December 2019. It cleared 18 days after it was filed.
From the label“Label states 'AMERICAN WHEAT BEER WITH GRAPEFRUIT FLAVORS' — the product is a wheat beer base with added grapefruit as a defining flavor. TTB class 906 (flavored malt beverage specialty) and the explicit 'grapefruit flavors' language confirm fruit_beer classification. The keg collar format (5.16 US gallons / 19.5 liters, tap-handle branding, 'BREWED IN KANSAS CITY MISSOURI') identifies this as a draft-only keg product. ABV 4.4% is printed. No explicit style word like 'fruit wheat' or 'fruit ale' appears, so copy_inference applies. The wheat base with fruit adjunct fits fruit_beer rather than american_wheat (which would be unflavored wheat ale).”
