Fruit Beer647 labels: Fruit-defined beer that is neither sour nor IPA: raspberry wheat, shandy and radler, a peach ale. The fruit must be declared, so the label reads clearly. Summer-weighted labels, and a family with outsized label art — fruit sells with pictures.
Spiced / Pumpkin / Honey578 labels: Spice, herb, pumpkin, honey, coffee outside a stout, and the holiday beers: the seasonal shelf. Pumpkin labels arrive in summer for an autumn release; winter warmer labels are approved in early fall. The spice list is on the label, which makes this node one of the most legible and most calendar-bound.
Non-Alcoholic Beer165 labels: Non-alcoholic beer, under 0.5% ABV, in any style: IPA, stout, lager, wheat. Approved under its own federal label class, which makes it easy to separate, and one of the fastest-growing corners of Hop Grail. The style words on the label still apply; a non-alcoholic hazy IPA is sorted as both.
Smoked Beer48 labels: Rauchbier and other smoked beers: malt dried over beechwood or another wood, the smoke carried into the glass. Rare labels, mostly from breweries with a German program or a brewer making a point. Smoked on the label is plain; the wood is sometimes named, and worth noting when it is.
Rye Beer43 labels: Rye-forward beer outside the IPA family: roggenbier and rye ales, spicy and dry from the grain. A small node, because most rye beers on Hop Grail are rye IPAs and sit there. Where the label leads with rye and not hops, this is where it rests.
Gluten-Free / Reduced3 labels: Beer brewed gluten-free from sorghum, rice or millet, or gluten-reduced with an enzyme; the label must say which, and Hop Grail records that claim as written. A small, growing set of labels, often from dedicated producers. We do not verify the claim; the label makes it.
