This filing went on record 25 November 2019, before the beer reached a shelf. Every week's new filings, read and delivered Tuesday morning.
This is the 2nd of 6 label filings we hold from KettleHouse Brewing Co. It is one of 23 wild / brett / lambic-style labels approved in November 2019. It cleared 14 days after it was filed. The label carries barrel-aged, fruited on the front. The label carries the Brewers Association independent seal.
From the label“Label states 'LIMITED EDITION BARREL AGED' and 'Contents: Cranberry Beer' at 6.1% ABV. The beer is a barrel-aged sour with cranberry fruit addition. No explicit sour style (gose, berliner, kettle sour, wild ale) is printed. 'Sour' in the name and barrel-aged cranberry beer character infer a wild_ale/sour ale classification; however the TTB class 906 and 'Cranberry Beer' descriptor suggest a fruited sour. Classified as wild_ale due to barrel-aging process implied by 'Barrel Aged' on a sour beer, but confidence is moderate given no explicit sour substyle stated. Volume: 1 pint 9.4 fl oz = ~757 ml, rounded to 710 ml (1 pint = 473 + 9.4 fl oz = ~278 ml = ~751 ml total). Brewed and bottled by KettleHouse Brewing Company, Missoula, MT — self relationship. Brewers Association independent craft seal present.”
