This filing went on record 12 February 2019, before the beer reached a shelf. Every week's new filings, read and delivered Tuesday morning.
This is the 3rd of 7 label filings we hold from Saranac. It is one of 90 fruit beer labels approved in February 2019. It cleared 33 days after it was filed.
From the label“Label states 'JUICY ALE' and 'BREWED WITH TANGERINE AND ORANGE PEEL'. The product is explicitly a fruit beer brewed with citrus adjuncts (tangerine and orange peel), not an IPA or other hop-forward style. TTB class 906 (Flavored Malt Beverage Specialty) confirms the fruit-adjunct nature. The style is fruit_beer rather than fruited_ipa because the label emphasizes the citrus squeeze/juice character and brewing method (brewed with fruit) rather than hop-derived citrus notes.”
