Register-wide, a cleared beer typically surfaces at its brewery within 15 days — four out of five inside 27 — measured across 90 filings we've watched land. This page gets stamped the moment it's seen.
Grails are watched nightly — you get word the morning this one is first seen. Every El Segundo Brewing Company filing? Follow the brewery.
This filing went on record 6 February 2019, before the beer reached a shelf. Every week's new filings, read and delivered Tuesday morning.
This is the 1st of 4 label filings we hold from El Segundo Brewing Company. It is one of 313 ipa (other/unspecified) labels approved in February 2019. It cleared 49 days after it was filed. The label names 3 hops — Citra, Loral and Idaho 7. It was brewed under contract — Pizza Port, Grain to Green, Inc. holds the permit, which is ordinary in the register and easy to miss on a shelf. The label carries the Brewers Association independent seal.
From the label“In 2017 we teamed up with our beer buddies from ESBC to brew the very hoppy Surfin' Bird DIPA. Smaller, but just as loud, Chirpin' Bird is the new bird in town and he rips just as hard as his cousin. This single IPA bursts with a hop blend of Citra, Loral, and Idaho 7 that will leave you frothing for more. Chirpin' Bird was drawn by legendary SoCal surf artist Steve Nazar, famous for the "Thrilla Krew."”

The filing names its hops — Citra, Loral, Idaho 7 — which is enough for a real starting point.
