From the label“Steve Christie's football journey began in Ontario, Canada, where his powerful soccer leg led him to the College of William & Mary and ultimately to a remarkable 15-year NFL career. After starting with Tampa Bay, Christie found his home with the Buffalo Bills, becoming one of the most dependable kickers in franchise history during the team's dominant run in the 1990's. His signature moment came in the legendary 1992 AFC Wild Card Playoff against Houston. Christie recovered his own onside kick—the first in NFL playoff history—and later kicked the game-winning overtime field goal to complete the greatest comeback in NFL postseason history. The kicking shoe he wore that day is now displayed in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Christie earned First-Team All-Pro honors, helped lead Buffalo to two AFC Championships and two consecutive Super Bowl appearances. He remains the Bills all-time leading scorer with 1,011 points. Renowned for his consistency, composure, and clutch performances, he cemented his legacy as one of the greatest kickers in NFL history.
