This filing went on record 20 July 2026, before the beer reached a shelf. Every week's new filings, read and delivered Tuesday morning.
This is the 2nd of 3 label filings we hold from is/was Brewing. It is one of 22 saison labels approved in July 2026. It cleared 4 days after it was filed.
Two nautical characters—a sailor in blue and a figure in yellow—flank a ship's wheel across the upper portion of the label, rendered in comic-inked style with cross-hatching and bold outlines. The composition is split into front and back panels showing the same scene from slightly different angles, with the beer name in large outlined capitals at top and descriptive text below. The palette is cream, gold, navy, and brown, with orange accents on the wheel. Typography is a mix of outlined serif capitals for the brand name and standard sans-serif for the descriptive copy.
From the label“Mooncusser is a collaboration with our friends at Mooncusser Raw Bars. We brewed a base saison with spelt and incorporated oyster shells and sea salt to be evocative of the aromas of the seashore at low tide. The resulting beer has notes of sea air, cucumber, lemon zest, hay, wet stones, honeydew, black pepper and a soft yet full mouthfeel.”
