A bearded man wearing sunglasses and a heavy coat dominates the left side of the label, rendered in black pen-and-ink with heavy cross-hatching and stipple; the figure is set against a tan ground patterned with ornamental damask scrollwork in muted gold. The composition is split vertically, with the portrait occupying the left half and product information in cream and gold type on the right. The beer name appears in large gold serif capitals at the bottom left, while "NEVER SAY DIE" repeats in a decorative border across the top, flanked by floral ornaments. The finish is matte.
