The oval contains the year "1664" in large serif numerals, with "Kronenbourg" and "bière blonde" in smaller type below. Above the cartouche, "BEER LAGER WITH ALSATIAN HOPS" appears in gold capitals; regulatory and ingredient text runs vertically along both side edges in white.
