This filing went on record 28 May 2026, before the beer reached a shelf. Every week's new filings, read and delivered Tuesday morning.
It is the only label filing we hold from Hofbräu München. It is one of 3 bock / doppelbock labels approved in May 2026. It cleared 1 day after it was filed. It was brewed under contract — HOFBRAUHAUS OF AMERICA LLC holds the permit, which is ordinary in the register and easy to miss on a shelf. It is an imported label, filed for US distribution.
A hand-drawn illustration of a traditional Bavarian townhouse with steep roofs, shuttered windows, and snow-laden evergreens occupies the centre of the label, rendered in pen-and-ink with watercolour wash in cream, grey, and pale blue tones. The building is flanked by the beer name in large condensed sans-serif capitals and framed by a horizontal band of red at top and bottom. A red cartouche at centre contains marketing copy. The overall composition is split across two panels, with identical illustrations and typography repeated symmetrically.
From the label“This full-bodied beer is a classic example of a German Style „Doppel Bock". This bottom fermented beer is very full bodied with rich malt flavors and intense dark brown color. Our Double Bock is brewed with selected roasted barley and caramel malts, which provide a big Double Bock flavor to satisfy the hardiest dark beer lover. Especially enjoyed on a cold winter day with a rich hot pot of meat and vegetables.”
