This is the 9th of 18 filings we hold from Braided River Brewing Co. It is one of 28 pilsner labels approved in May 2026. It cleared 4 days after it was filed. The label carries the Brewers Association independent seal.
A stylized illustration of oyster shells dominates the label, rendered as interlocking curved lines in navy blue against a light background. The design is split across multiple panels: a large sun rendered in gold sits in the upper left; the beer name 'GULF PILS' appears in the centre in hand-drawn lettering; and abstracted shell forms with concentric curved lines fill the right side and lower portions. The colour palette of navy, cream, light blue, yellow, and white creates a coastal theme that reinforces the oyster-shell subject matter printed across the label's surface.
From the label“This unique style of pilsner is super refreshing, and has a distinctive Gulf Coast finish! Alabama oyster shells were used in the boil to add a slight salinity and a complex minerality. The spicy, citrusy aromas combine with a smooth mouthfeel to create the ideal companion for enjoying the Gulf Coast. Alabama has nearly lost all of its natural oyster reefs, but there is good work being done to bring them back. A portion of your purchase helps support oyster reef restoration in Alabama.”
