More SourAbout this beer
This is the 5th of 5 labels we have from Lenny Boy Brewing Co. It is one of 41 wild / brett / lambic-style labels approved in December 2019. Its label was approved 32 days after it was submitted. The label carries barrel-aged, fruited on the front.
From the label“Working with local farms is one of our passions. Combining two North Carolina native grapes, Muscadines and Scuppernongs, in a wild ale fermented with Brettanomyces. This beer has an upfront tartness, notes of white grapes, and a complex earthy backbone. Each bottle has been hand packaged and aged in our temperature controlled barrel room to ensure that refermentation has properly occurred to give this beer a 100% natural carbonation and an increased shelf life.”
