From the label“He was a big yella' mutt the old Ukrainian lady got at the pound. When she adopted him, at first his name was "Butchie," but she called him "Snoochie-Boochie" and they'd amble down Chicago Avenue, from tree to tree and she'd tell him his face was flat because he was "chasing parked cars" and she would laugh and stomp her foot and he'd wag his stump of a tail while his tongue lolled out. She would sit on the stoop and light a long menthol and stare into his big wet eyes and smile; perfectly in love in the Yellow Days.”
