This filing went on record 14 October 2019, before the beer reached a shelf. Every week's new filings, read and delivered Tuesday morning.
It is the only label filing we hold from Gotsa Family Wines. It is one of 34 fruit beer labels approved in October 2019. It cleared 17 days after it was filed. It was brewed under contract — BLACK LAMB WINE, STETSON THOMAS ROBBINS holds the permit, which is ordinary in the register and easy to miss on a shelf. It is an imported label, filed for US distribution.
From the label“I am an architect, turned winemaker, turned brewer. My beer started as an experiment for fun. It is made entirely from ingredients I grew or foraged with my family. Next to our vineyards we planted an ancient strain of barley we malt ourselves over a wood fire. The hops are collected from the banks of the local rivers. We always fall in. The water we use is from a spring next to the wine cellar. We add lees (yeast) from our wines to the fermenting beer and then a small amount of grape juice at bottling for bottling conditioning. The result is a refreshing, aromatically complex beer with fruity/malty flavors and a particular crispness. A beer for a wine lover. - Beka Gotsadze, architect, winemaker and brewer”
