More SourAbout this beer
This is the 29th of 60 labels we have from Breakside Brewery. It is one of 5 wild / brett / lambic-style labels approved in July 2019. Its label was approved 19 days after it was submitted. The label carries barrel-aged on the front.
From the label“The Body Electric is a mixed culture sour beer that was fermented and aged in oak barrels from two of our favorite Oregon wineries. As we did with the others in this series, we created as a blend of several different lots of beer from our wood cellar. The finished product, The Body Electric, comes from 15 casks of beer brewed between August and November 2017. After nearly two years in barrel, this beer showcases a complex array of vinous and fruity notes, including pie cherry, pineapple, and fruit cocktail. Balanced acidity couples with a medium-high level of tannin from aged hops and oak for an elegant and multilayered finish. Cheers!”
