From the label“In February of 2017 we embarked on an adventurous journey from Athens, Georgia to Athens, Ohio and back with our friends from Jackie O's Brewery. Not only do we share the same hometown name, we also share the spirit of collaboration and discovery through experience. Earlier this year the beer from Athens, OH was released – a smoked barleywine ale aged in bourbon barrels. In Athens, GA we brewed a saison to represent our lands using spelt from Ohio and wheat from DaySpring farms here in Georgia. After a year resting in wine barrels, half with the culture from Jackie O's and half with Creature Comforts' house culture, a beautiful blend brought our flavors together. The signature Jackie O's house flavor with notes of lemon meringue pairs perfectly with our house stonefruit notes creating a beer truly distinct and original to this collaboration.”
