This week's highlights

Looking for Florida brewery events this weekend? Halloween is doing most of the work. Per Funky Buddha Brewery's newsletter, a Costume Contest & Scream Movie Night is set for Oct 30 in Oakland Park, and Southern Swells Brewing Company says its Halloween Party is the same day in Jacksonville Beach.

Swan Brewing opens the week with live music from the Dave & Jen Duo on Oct 29 in Lakeland.

I'll say it flatly: a costume contest paired with a slasher movie is a sturdy plan for the 30th. The two Halloween nights start at different times, 7 PM and 5:30 PM, so a very committed person could try to see the start of one and the end of the other. I wouldn't promise that works.

New beers

The breweries also announced new beers this week, though none are listed in this article. The full list below the article has them.
