This beer is based upon a classic German lager that originated in Vienna, Austria in the mid-1800s. Its history lies in being a standard everyday beer, not a beer brewed for festivals which tends to be heavier in body and strength. The grain bill consists primarily of Goldpils Vienna malt which provides a subtle bread-like character, while a hint of Aromatic Munich malt lends a bit of toast and a bright copper color. Noble hops from the Hallertau family, Tradition and Mittelfrüh, complete the package.
