In their words
This beer is dedicated to the memory of a pioneer in the Michigan craft beer industry Steve "Bert" Berthel. Bert founded the breweries Kraftbrau and The Livery and was a long time brewer at New Holland's Pub on 8th. He championed the craft of brewing as a board member of the Michigan Brewer's Guild and with his influence on, and conversations with, many of us in the Michigan brewing scene. One of Bert's other passions was music. He supported live music wherever he went and his love of music brought him to learn the pedal steel guitar. This Red IPA was brewed with a mix of American, Scottish and English malts and Chinook hops grown right here in Michigan. Deep and rich in flavor with a pleasant bitterness in its finish we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
