From the label

“The Lost Legacy of Roasted Hops On the hot surface of our old copper brewing kettle, the hops for Franconian Pilsener are slowly roasted — just as they were in Bamberg more than 200 years ago. This forgotten craft was rediscovered in the historic records of Konrad Graser and brought back to life. Roasting unlocks a rich, distinctive hop aroma and gives the beer an intense, naturally fruity character.”
