About this beer
It's the only label we have from Brother Chimp Brewing. It is one of 56 oktoberfest / märzen labels approved in July 2026. Its label was approved 1 day after it was submitted. The brand on the label is Brother Chimp Brewing; it was brewed at Art History Brewing Inc in Illinois. The label carries the Brewers Association independent seal.
A cartoon chimpanzee wearing a green Bavarian hat with a feather holds two overflowing beer mugs aloft, centered within a circular frame against a bright blue background. The figure is rendered in pen-and-ink style with brown and black linework, filled with tan and white; the circular emblem is framed by a decorative gold banner reading the beer name and year. The label is predominantly deep oxblood red with gold and cream type, and includes the brewery's smaller chimpanzee logotype in the lower left.
From the label“Schimpansenfest is our traditional German Style Marzen Beer Oktoberfest, brewed with 100% German malted barley and hops. We allow this beer to condition in our horizontal lagering tanks for almost 2 months for an optimally smooth, crisp celebration of German malty goodness. Notes of freshly toasted bread and toffee dominate this easy drinking, not too sweet, lager.”
