The label names 2 hops — Peacharine and Citra, and carries hazy on the front. The label carries the Brewers Association independent seal.
Three great white sharks rendered in detailed engraving-style cross-hatching occupy the center of the label, arranged vertically and overlaid with the beer name in large navy sans-serif capitals. The composition balances the naturalistic sharks against a pale grey silhouette of the New England coastline, with the brewery's name and collaborator logo positioned in the upper right. Gold and navy type announces the beer style and ABV across the upper portion, while regulatory text and a UPC occupy the left edge in a narrow vertical panel.
From the label“Murdoch is a New England Double IPA brewed in collaboration with our good friends at Trillium Brewing in Canton, MA. Named after the 14 ft. 10 in. male great white shark that cruises the coast of Maine and Massachusettes, Murdoch takes his name from the Gaelic word meaning "sea warrior." This beer is a tribute to the wild beauty, mystery, and resilience that define the waters we call home. From Portland to Boston, the coastline connects our breweries just as it connects Murdoch's home in the Atlantic Ocean. Brewing this beer together celebrates not only that shared stretch of ocean and the importance of protecting it, but also the friendships, experiences, and passion for craft beer that continue to bring our communities together.”
