It cleared 1 day after it was filed. It was brewed under contract — Illumination Brewing, Illumination Brewing, LLC holds the permit, which is ordinary in the register and easy to miss on a shelf. The label carries the Brewers Association independent seal.
A cartoon shark with an open mouth dominates the lower half of the label, its white belly and black dorsal fin rendered in bold outline against a background of horizontal blue water stripes that grade from navy to light cyan. The beer name SHARK BITE appears in oversized red caps with a white outline above the shark's head, while the Funk Brewing emblem—a bearded face wearing sunglasses—sits centered at the top.
