It cleared 6 days after it was filed. It was brewed under contract — Cranford Brewing, LLC holds the permit, which is ordinary in the register and easy to miss on a shelf.
The label is dominated by large white serif capitals spelling "LR BEAR BEER" across a black field, with "BEAR" in burgundy and white split vertically down the centre. A roaring bear head in black and white appears in the top right, framed within a magenta horizontal band that reads "LENOIR-RHYNE UNIVERSITY" on either side of the mascot. The composition is split vertically: left and right sides mirror each other with "LR BEAR BEER" stacked, while a vertical "BEAR BEER" text runs up the centre spine. The City Walk Brewing oval logo anchors the top left; an 80th Anniversary badge sits at the bottom centre.
