The artwork

A campfire scene dominates the centre of the label, framed by a circular vignette of bare tree trunks and evergreen branches rendered in layered paper-cut or collage style. Yellow flames rise from the fire's centre, while small stars and a crescent moon appear in the upper branches. The composition is symmetrical and intimate, with silhouetted figures gathered around the fire below the tree canopy. The entire scene is printed in shades of forest green, cream, and pale yellow against a deep forest-green field, with the brewery name in flowing script above and regulatory text arranged along the left edge.

From the label

Sticks is our Sticke Altbier, a traditional ale hailing from Düsseldorf, Germany. Pouring a deep amber hue with a creamy head, its complex grain bill lends notes of toasted bread crust, figs, roasted nuts, and knotweed honey. Spalt hops add an assertive bitterness and aromas of earthy noble spice that linger upon its malty finish. This rare style endured Germany's devotion to Lagers, becoming a quietly celebrated treat for brewers and their favorite patrons; the perfect style to accompany a night around the fire. Now that the fire's roaring, the woods have disappeared, its edge a ring of trunks in step with the flickering flame. The stars are faint in the thicket of branches as sparks sputter upwards in the draft. Only a few yards out, it looks as small as a candle's wick, a shadow box in the shape of our friends. How nice it is to take turns slipping into the dark and returning with a bundle of sticks in the crook of our arm.
