A gold harp with fine diagonal string-work fills the upper centre of a dark oval frame, flanked by establishment dates in white type. The harp is surrounded by a cream border and sits against a deep brown background, with a bright cyan and yellow striped arc curving along the right edge. White and gold sans-serif capitals spell "GUINNESS" below the harp, followed by "FOREIGN EXTRA" in gold, all set against the brown field. A wavy purple-grey pattern tiles across the entire background behind the framed emblem.
