A bearded man in a tall top hat and tailcoat holds a foaming beer stein, framed within a circular vignette at the top of the front label; below sits the name 'ROBERT DOMS' in heavy serif caps with 'Dunkel' on a burgundy banner at the bottom. The back label depicts a historical street scene with a cathedral, horse-drawn carriage, and a gentleman in period dress standing beside beer barrels in front of an Alpine landscape. Both sides employ engraved line-work rendering throughout, printed in brown and cream on a aged cream ground with magenta and olive-green rule borders.
