From the label“Wheatwine Ale aged in Chardonnay barrels There's no substitute for brewing things right, and the six months of patience as this rare breed blossomed in the barrel was the least of our endeavors to deliver this no-frills interpretation of an American wheatwine ale. We brewed this elusive style to deliver delicate notes of candied fruit, caramel, and vanilla with a well-rounded mouthfeel worth getting all worked up over. It was for their own good. Beers in this special series are banished for months in oak barrels, allowing flavors to mature, meld, and mellow. This beer contains five yeast — take it even further by storing in a dark place at 50°-60° F for one to three years.”
