“Years ago an Alaskan hunter shot a Kodiak bear who then attacked him. He took a knife made by Union Cutlery Co. of Olean, NY and killed the bear. In appreciation of the knife having saved his life, the hunter sent the bear skin and a letter detailing his "k a bar" adventure to Union Cutlery Co.
