This filing went on record 12 February 2019, before the beer reached a shelf. Every week's new filings, read and delivered Tuesday morning.
This is the 18th of 31 label filings we hold from Monkish Brewing Co. It is one of 227 double / imperial ipa labels approved in February 2019. It cleared 36 days after it was filed. The label carries ddh, dry-hopped on the front.
From the label“Front label explicitly states 'DOUBLE INDIA PALE ALE' and 'DOUBLE DRY HOPPED'. Back label confirms 'BREWED & CANNED BY MONKISH BREWING CO LLC // TORRANCE, CA // MONKISHBREWING.COM'. ABV 8.1% is consistent with double IPA classification. The phrase 'DOUBLE DRY HOPPED' binds 'DOUBLE' to the dry-hopping process modifier, not as a separate imperial designation, but the explicit 'DOUBLE INDIA PALE ALE' text on the front label makes this a double_ipa. The 16 FL OZ (473 ml) wraparound label with UPC is a standard can format.”
