From the label

Captain Henry Sawyer was shot, imprisoned, and slated for execution by the Confederacy during the Civil War. He was eventually swapped for the son of General Lee, and spent his remaining years in Cape May. In his honor, we brew Sawyer's Swap: an American Barleywine Ale that will age gracefully while avoiding an execution.
