What it is

Rusty Rail Brewing Co. in Mifflinburg, PA has a new Hazy IPA called Gad Zooks. It's 5.2% ABV, and its label was approved Sep 23, 2026.

A label approval often comes before a beer is announced, so this is an early look.

At 5.2%, it's a modest strength for a hazy. I like that.

What the label tells us

The package is a can. The hop list is one name: Galaxy.

The label's copy is mostly a bit of invented lore. It introduces the Zooks as "a curious race of tiny extraterrestrial tourists," who arrive in swarms and scatter to explore. Only the last line gets to the beer, saying it's brewed with Galaxy Hops, a famous Australian variety.

The name and the hop are in on the same joke, and I'd bet money the whole can is built around the Zooks. The label gives no art description, so I can't confirm that.

When you might see it

There's no timing to go on yet. No release date has been announced, and the beer hasn't been spotted anywhere.
