What it is
Lolev Mosaic is a West Coast IPA at 7% ABV from Lolev in Pittsburgh, PA. Its label was approved Oct 2, 2026.
The name is also the hop. Mosaic leads the hop list, and I like a beer that tells you what it is on the front.
What the label tells us
Four hops are listed: Mosaic, Freestyle Paradisi, Freestyle Waimea and Freestyle Nelson Sauvin. Three of the four are Freestyle varieties, so Mosaic is the only one of the group with a conventional name on the label. The package is a can.
The label's own words are short. It says "A collaborative project with STANTON HEIGHTS" and then "Wet Hopped with local Cascade".
Cascade isn't in the hop list above, so the wet-hop line points to a fifth variety. That's a detail I'd want explained, and the label doesn't.
When you might see it
Lolev's past beers were spotted a median of 11 days after their labels were approved. That figure comes from 18 beers.
Counting from Oct 2, 2026, that gives a rough sense of the pace, nothing firmer. This beer hasn't been spotted yet, and there's no announced release date.
What we don't know yet
- Release date, and whether Lolev will announce one
- Price
- Where it will be sold
- How it tastes
- Whether Stanton Heights is also releasing it, and in what form
